The company Praher Plastics

The headquarters of Praher Plastics Austria GmbH is located in the tranquil village of Schwertberg, in the Mühlviertel, on the plain between the Danube and the hilly Mühlviertel that begins. This is exactly where Ludwig Praher founded the company in 1971 and started the production of technical plastic parts and injection molding tools for the manufacture of the parts as a one-man operation Assemblies produced on fully automatic injection molding machines. The in-house research and development department works closely with universities and research institutions. New ideas are first implemented in the core of the company, toolmaking, and increasingly also in 3D printing. Only high quality raw material is processed by means of a central material supply. Automated robot systems enable new ways in production. The company is now run in the second generation by Ing.Winfried Praher together with Dr. Rainer Pühringer.

A second production site is located in Barrie / Canada. The location, which was founded in 1986, produces specifically for the requirements of the North American market and essentially also directs sales activities for this market.
